BIO: Eldred Taylor, M.D. is a well-known, dynamic speaker and expert on Functional and Anti-Aging Medicine. Dr. Taylor is the President of the American Functional Medicine Association, a national non-profit organization, which educates healthcare providers and the public on functional (wellness) medicine.
He is the co-author of two must- read books, Are Your Hormone Making You Sick? and The Stress Connection, and also a sought-after radio and television personality who has been featured in local and national publications.
Education
Dr. Taylor, a board certified holistic doctor, received his Bachelor of Science degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He earned his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine. He served as Assistant Clinical Professor at Emory University School of Medicine for many years. As the medical needs of his medical practice grew so did the educational needs for Dr. Taylor who later completed extensive post medical graduate training in Functional, Integrative and Anti-Aging Medicine for the treatment of men and women.
Expert and Pioneer
Dr. Taylor is considered to be a pioneer of bio-identical hormone replacement and functional medicine for men and women. As an internationally known medical lecturer and leading expert on functional medicine, Dr. Taylor has helped forge the integration of bio-identical replacement into conventional mainstream medicine practices. To date, Dr. Taylor has provided over 1000 hours of continuing medical education on functional and anti-aging medicine to healthcare practitioners. Before co-founding the American Functional Medicine Association, he served for many years as a faculty member for the Academy for Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) and the Fellowship in Anti-Aging, Regenerative & Functional Medicine where he taught basic and advanced hormone replacement to thousands of healthcare practitioners. Dr. Taylor has extensive and specialized training and experience in intravenous (IV) nutritional therapy for the treatment of chronic diseases and conditions that benefit from IV nutritional therapy.
